Lemon Tart

August 16, 2014

The staged reading of Marilyn Johnson's new play, Lemon Tart, will be held Aug. 16th at L’Chaim Center Theater in Dewey, OK. This new murder mystery staged reading is presented by the Tallgrass Theatre Festival, which promotes new works for the stage. This will be the 4th new play reading at L’Chaim Center Theater this summer, and Lemon Tart will be the last of the new play readings this season.

The August 16th reading features a stellar Bartlesville cast of local actors reading and moving with scripts, and it’s written and directed by Bartlesville actress/writer Marilyn Johnson. This modern day “who done it” play is adapted from the writings of Josi S. Kilpack and her original mystery novel series. Josi Kilpack will be at this reading, allowing audiences to meet her after the play reading. Director/playwright Marilyn Johnson, the cast, and all guests will get to enjoy a serving of Josi Kilpacks real inspired recipe of lemon tart.

L’Chaim Center Theater is located at 306 Don Tyler Ave in Dewey, OK. For those who like authentic NYC style deli food L’Chaim Center’s Ahava Cafe will be serving before the reading.

Reservations requested, free admission with donations accepted for a Theater Bartlesville restoration fund.
